What We Believe & Write From
Every word on this blog grows from these convictions. They are not opinions. They are anchors.
God is not merely good. He is holy – set apart, consuming, altogether unlike us. And His call to His people has never changed: “Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16).
This blog will never soften that call. Holiness is not a burden placed on the believer, it is the very shape of the life redeemed by Christ. We write to stir that hunger, to name what resists it, and to point every reader back to the God whose holiness is not a threat but an invitation.
We believe the Word of God is living, active, and enough.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
That means we do not come to the Bible to find what we already believe but we come to be corrected, shaped, and undone by it. Every piece written here submits to Scripture, not the spirit of the age. The Word is the authority. Everything else is commentary.
The God of the Bible is not a distant judge tallying failures.
He is a Father who runs toward returning sons, a Shepherd who leaves ninety-nine to find one, a Bridegroom who rejoices over His beloved. “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).
He is not impressed by our striving. He desires our hearts fully turned toward Him, not performing for Him.
There is no Christianity without the cross. No forgiveness without blood. No resurrection without death. “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2).
Every devotion, every reflection, every letter written here circles back to this: Christ crucified, risen, and reigning. He is not a theme among themes. He is the whole point.
If a reader leaves this blog with anything, let it be a deeper love for the Man of Calvary.
We do not wrestle against flesh and blood. The enemy is real, his tactics are ancient, and the battlefield is the mind. “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
Too many believers are losing ground they do not even know they are giving away. This blog names those tactics plainly not to produce fear, but to produce vigilance. The informed believer is a dangerous one.
We write because we believe words matter. Because “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). Because someone once read something in a quiet moment and their life turned. We do not write for platforms or numbers.
We write in obedience — trusting that God, who promised His Word would not return to Him empty (Isaiah 55:11), is able to use even these imperfect words to reach the hearts He already has His eye on.
