And Nothing Can Separate Me.
Romans 8:35–39 (ESV)
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
As it is written, ‘For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.’
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Let that settle into your bones for a second.
Paul doesn’t ask if you’re strong enough.
He asks: What could possibly separate you from the love of Christ?
He doesn’t say “if things get hard.”
He lists everything (I repeat everything) that tries to come between you and Jesus and says:
It. Won’t. Work.
Not tribulation.
Not famine.
Not persecution.
Not distress.
Not shame, not fear, not silence, not confusion.
Not demons or depression.
Not Addiction.
Not death.
Not life.
Not the past you can’t undo or the future you can’t predict.
Not the worst thing they said about you or the worst thing you’ve done.
NOTHING in all creation can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
And that includes you.
Even on your worst day.
Even when your hands tremble and your prayers feel hollow.
Even when you feel like you’re barely hanging on.
You are not held by your own strength.
You are held by His unbreakable love.
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:28
So let’s speak this loud into every lie:
Into the shame that tells you you’re disqualified.
Into the fear that says you’re forgotten.
Into the insecurity that says you’re not enough.
🔥 Let’s declare it together:
I belong to Jesus.
Not because I’ve earned it;
But because He bled for it.
I belong to Jesus.
Not because I’ve never failed;
But because He never will.
I belong to Jesus.
Not just on the mountaintop;
but in the valley, in the mess, in the in-between.
I belong to Jesus.
Forever.
Fully.
Freely.
And nothing, not fear, not failure, not even me can change that.
So when the enemy whispers, “You don’t belong,”
You answer with Romans 8.
When life feels unstable,
You declare: “I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me.”
When your feelings falter,
You stand on what is written.
Because feelings may waver
but the cross already spoke:
You are His.
You are not barely accepted.
You are deeply loved.
You are not holding on for dear life.
You are held by eternal love that will never let go.
You belong to Jesus.
And nothing, absolutely nothing can separate you from that love. You are His Delight!
Love,
Yahweh’s Delight ❤️
